Vanir, a brand by Opko Health Europe, offers a line of dietary supplements crafted to enhance overall well-being and boost both physical and mental performance.

The challenge was to create comprehensive branding, packaging, and an eCommerce website for a new line of food supplements under the “Vanir” umbrella brand, to launch the Spanish market
In addition to creating the branding and packaging for each product, the project required the design and development of an eCommerce website, as these products were sold exclusively online.
The initial products to design were:
Vanir Flex: Designed to support joint health and flexibility.
Vanir Fit: Supports overall fitness and well-being.
Vanir Go: A supplement for energy, focus, and mental performance.
The project required the design of a new line of food supplements under the brand “Vanir,” which involved comprehensive branding, packaging, and eCommerce development.
I worked closely with the marketing and product development teams to create personas, define brand values, and establish product positioning. This collaborative approach ensured cohesive and effective brand communication and gave me the guidelines to proceed with the design.
The branding design process involved creating the “Vanir” logo and overall brand identity, ensuring it cohesively connected the various products under a unified and distinct umbrella brand.
The packaging design process involved creating distinct and visually appealing packaging for each product—Vanir Flex, Vanir Fit, and Vanir Go—ensuring they highlighted specific benefits, aligned with the overall brand identity, and appealed to the target audience.
Finally, I Designed and implemented a robust eCommerce website to facilitate the exclusive online sale of these supplements.

As the Designer, I approached this comprehensive project with a structured and strategic plan to ensure a cohesive and engaging brand identity for the Vanir product line.
By meticulously crafting the brand identity, designing attractive and cohesive packaging, and developing a user-friendly eCommerce platform, I successfully positioned Vanir as a credible and engaging brand in the nutritional supplements market.
12-month capstone project
I created a distinct and memorable logo for Vanir that reflects the brand’s commitment to health and wellness.
I also developed comprehensive brand guidelines detailing typography, color schemes, imagery, and overall design language to ensure consistency across all marketing materials.
Exploring logos of competitors was an important initial step in the Vanir logo creation process.
It helped to avoid unnecessary similarity with other logos in the sector and make an original brand identity.
With the benchmarking/research done and core information gathered, we moved to a more artistic and exciting stage — the logo creative process itself.
The VANIR corporate logo is designed to be both simple and powerful, consisting of two key elements: the stylized ‘V’ symbol and the custom VANIR typeface used in the logotype.
Together, these components create a cohesive visual identity that connects seamlessly with other product brands within the VANIR portfolio.
The logo is the result of fusing several elements that represent the core values of the brand. We envisioned the corporate symbol as a blend of victory, peace, and triumph. We liked to think of it as a check mark, symbolizing validation and positivism. The shape of the logo could be interpreted as leaves, signifying nature; an arm, denoting strength; and an upward arrow, symbolizing growth and evolution.
After finalizing the main Vanir logo, with the product and marketing teams, we established a color palette for the product family branding:
Using this color scheme, we designed distinct logos for each product, creating individual identities and strengths while ensuring they collectively function as a cohesive family under the main Vanir brand.
I developed a visually cohesive packaging for Vanir Flex, Vanir Fit, and Vanir Go, using unique color schemes and graphics to represent each product’s specific benefits (joint health, overall fitness, and energy/mental performance).
I ensured that all packaging designs conveyed strength, vitality, and clarity, appealing to the target audiences of each product, emphasizing their unique benefits and usage instructions to educate and attract consumers.
The Vanir packaging should provide a good first impression and lead to a lasting brand loyalty.

User Experience (UX) Design
Designed an intuitive and user-friendly eCommerce website layout that facilitates easy navigation and enhances user engagement.
Implemented a clean and modern design that aligns with the Vanir brand identity, ensuring a seamless online shopping experience.
User Interface (UI) Design
Developed visually appealing product pages with high-quality images, detailed product descriptions, and customer reviews.
Integrated a secure and efficient shopping cart and checkout process to ensure a smooth purchasing experience for customers.
Each Vanir product had its own dedicated landing page, where specific and detailed product information was provided. These landing pages followed a common structure and layout, ensuring a sense of unity and consistency across the product family.
For the Vanir website, we adopted a mobile-first design approach, prioritizing the user experience on mobile devices to ensure accessibility and ease of use on smaller screens. By focusing on mobile design from the outset, we created responsive and adaptive interfaces that provide seamless navigation and functionality across all devices.
This strategy not only caters to the increasing number of users accessing content via smartphones but also ensured a streamlined and consistent experience, enhancing engagement and satisfaction with the Vanir brand across its product family.
